Promotoras Activas SF connects residents to services through established relationships with local organizations and city agencies.
PASF is a cooperative established in 2021, built on years of community outreach in San Francisco. Since 2017, the Promotoras have helped residents participate in the affordable housing lottery through DAHLIA’s web portal and supported public health efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, they connect households to local services including housing programs, food assistance and healthcare. Through partnerships with city agencies and local organizations, PASF provides information, referrals and support across neighborhoods such as the Mission, Excelsior, Bayview, Tenderloin and Visitation Valley.

Housing
Help and guidance for applying through San Francisco’s DAHLIA platform to find and secure affordable housing.
Nutrition and Health
Provides nutrition classes, guidance on healthy eating, general wellness support and referrals to health-related resources.
Access to Social Services
Assists households in locating an connecting with available local services, such as housing programs, food assistance, healthcare options and other essential support resources.
Successes to date (Since June 2021)
Vaccine Outreach
Completed 9,325 surveys with San Francisco residents, representing 97% of total project respones.
Reached over 34,700 individuals through vaccine outreach, representing 61% of the project’s total reach.
Referred 2,489 families to services such as housing support, food assistance, health insurance and tax resources.
Scheduled vaccine appointments, including first doses and boosters for more than 2,300 individuals at local clinics and community sites.
Supported the Vidas Saludables health fair at In Chan Kaajal Park in April 2022, attended by over 600 people.
Housing Support
Assisted 1,151 families in completing over 3,100 affordable housing applications through the DAHLIA portal (as of July 2022).
110 families have secured affordable housing in San Francisco since June 2021.
Helped more than 580 families apply for rent relief through the Housing is Key program.
Over $8 million in rental assistance funds have been secured for households, including tenants for multiple local organizations.
